ONE D (ONE DISH MEALS) - ROUND UP
It was very interesting to organize the recipes for ONE D meals. Most times of the week, especially for dinner we like to get done with just a dish that will be wholesome and nutritious. I am very pleased to present some recipes from the food bloggers who have presented some of their favorite foods for One Dish Meals.I thank all my friends for participating and making a good collection of One Dish Recipes.

Mansi Desai of Fun and Food presents Fettucini in Almond Pesto
This Almond Pesto Fettucini is a welcome alternative to usual pasta recipes, and the Pesto can also be used as a light dressing for a pasta salad. Adding parsley adds an ever-so-mild kick to the pesto, which works great if you want to use this as a pasta sauce!

Deepika of Ammalu’s Kitchen presents Tamarind Tofu Wraps
What can you do with some left over Rajma and Coconut Rice, with addition of freshly grilled sweet peppers, zucchini and eggplant. You guessed it, its Tamarind Tofu Wraps. Check out the tamarind marinade and how she makes a quick wrap with all that you have got at home on a lazy weekend.

Vidhya of Vibaas-world.blogspot.com presents Spicy Macaroni and Veggie Quesadilla
It’s a spicy Macaroni. Vidhya likes to spice it up with some green chillies and add to that Indian touch. Don’t miss out the seasoning with mustard seeds, asafoetida, urad dal and turmeric powder

Divya Vikram of Dil Se presents Chile Releno Bake
A spicy and cheesy Mexican dish packed with some refried beans and chilies, surely makes it one of those quick to do recipes.
TBC of The Budding Cook presents Tortelloni in Creamy Tomato Sauce
Tortelloni are stuffed pasta, the same shape as tortellini, but larger. They are usually stuffed with Ricotta cheese and leaf vegetables, such as spinach. TBC’s tortelloni are really tempting and delicious to look at.

A combination of vegetables and chick peas to make it a filling and nutritious meal. Dig into the recipe and you will find the combination of garlic, ginger, paprika, sesame powder and peanut powder really enhances the taste of a healthy soup pleasing your palates. A simple to make but has a lot of flavors going in from the peppers, celery, garlic and oregano. The pasta that is added is cooked to perfection has the flavor of all the vegetables, tomatoes and herbs because it is cooked with it instead of plain salted water. A perfect dish for those cold days which can make a very satisfying meal.

Asha Aravind of Foodie’s Hope presents Thukpa
A popular Noodle-Based Soup with Vegetables (or meat) in the North East Region. The Buddhist Monpa and Sherdukpa tribes are more inclined to Burmese or Chinese influenced food and their popular dishes are Momos, Chowmein and Thupka. Oil and spices are sparingly used, chillies and ginger and sometimes fermented Bamboo shoots and fish are used for flavoring the soup.

American chop suey is quite a favorite of a lot of people and its quite wholesome and delicious too. Oven Roasted, non fried noodles are topped with a spicy tomato Asian sauce with some vegetables.

Like Sambar or Lasagna or even Mac and Cheese, every home has their own twist on the recipe - some load it with lots of ingredients and many are simple. Some others are simple but have lots of toppings. Whichever way it’s served, it’s always delicious.
Richa of As Dear As Salt presents Ragda Patties
An all time favorite Indian Street Food, which is savored by Indians all over the world. Mildly spiced potato patties, topped with the ragda and the various chutney is sure to tease your palates. A perfect meal for a rainy or a cold day.

Hey Archana, What a fabulous collection ! Best place to come when in a hurry. I just wanted to say that in the American Chop Suey I write about, I do not fry the noodles but bake them. You have mentioned fried in your write-up. Thanks for hosting the event.
