 Home Made Apple Sauce

Apple sauce is a great way to feed babies apples as well as a key ingredient in may egglesss cakes, desserts, pies or even making granola.

Ingredients

4 apples peeled and chopped
180 ml water
50 grams white sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Method

In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Turn on the heat to medium. Cover the pan and cook the apples over for about 20 minutes until apples are soft and tender. The texture should be such that, when you press with a fork over it should mash up.

Allow the apple mixture to cool and then mash with a fork or potato masher. You can also puree the apple sauce and store in the regfrigerator for a couple of days, in an air tight container.
