Rich Chocolate Brownies-3

Method

Preheat the oven to 165 C. Grease and flour a square baking dish

Place the chocolate and butter in a sauce pan over low heat and stir until smooth and all the chocolate has melted. Stir in the cocoa powder and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until fluffy. Gradually add the flour and fold in the chocolate mixture and whisk well until well combined. You will notice the mixture thicken due the the warmth of the chocolate. At this point pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish.

Place in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until a tooth pick when inserted inside comes out clean.

Remove from the oven, allow it to rest for 15 minutes before serving. Serve it as it is or along with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

had to bake a huge batch for an event at work!! these were so simple to bake even in large quantities and I recd complements from all those who ate it!! the bournville makes a big difference, have tried several recipes earlier for brownies, but i never managed to get this consistency or amazing layer on top!! they looked good too:)
