What can be a better pleasure with cookies made from real chocolate. Yea, these cookies are absolutely delicious, made from bitter sweet chocolate and some toffee bits and not to miss out the walnuts.

Makes: about 12 Ingredients
- 1/4 cup flour
- 8 ounces of bittersweet chocolate
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup toffee bits
- 1/2 cup toasted and chopped walnuts
Method Preheat the oven to 180 C. Prepare the baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper In a double boiler over low heat, melt the chocolate and butter. Stir until the chocolate melts and is smooth. Remove from the boiler and allow it to cool to lukewarm.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in the melted chocolate mixture. Gradually beat in the flour to the butter mixture until well blended. Stir in the toffee bits and nuts. Scrape the sides of the bowl, cover with a plastic wrap and refrigerate at least for one hour or until chilled and firm. Drop the mixture by 1/4 cupfuls onto the prepared sheets, spacing them 2 1/2 inches apart. The cookies expand while baking, so take care to give space. Place the baking sheet to the oven and bake the cookies for about 15 minutes or until the top starts to crack and dry. The cookies will be soft to touch. Do not over bake, they will firm up as they cool. Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes, they cook a little more while sitting on the heat. Gently transfer them to wire racks to cool completely. Store in air tight containers.
