Other wise called Potato Roast is a delicious preparation of the potatoes in South Indian Brahmin Style. Even the Bengali's have a similar preparation with a subtle variation and call it Aloo Bhaja. Boiled potatoes are seasoned with mustard seeds and a few condiments, then slow roasted until the potatoes get coated with a crispy brown texture. The result is simply delicious. |

A side dish made with potatoes and spinach, delicately spiced is served as a side dish in an Indian entree. Potatoes high in starch and carbohydrates and spinach rich in iron and minerals, cooked with low fat ingredients makes is a perfect lunch box meal for kids and adults. Serve it phulka's or a bead roll and end it with a cold cup of butter milk. |

The dish is otherwise called as Stuffed Capsicum in India, carries immense flavors and taste is delicious. The recipe does not call for a gravy, but surely you can get creative and use a tomato based gravy to serve it with rice or any bread.
Green bell peppers combined with spiced up potatoes and baked with a dollop of butter, gives out delectable flavors. |
