Cocoa Banana Almond Date Smoothie

Once a week my children insist that I make a smoothie with cocoa, although I do know that this indulgence is perfectly good for the mind and body. Cocoa Banana Almond Date Smoothie does make itself more energizing because of the raw oats that I like to add into it all the time. I make sure this ingredient does not get missed in a smoothie.

Ingredients

1/4 cup quick cooking oats (Quaker)

2 tablespoons of cocoa

2 cups milk

1 large banana

6 soaked almonds

6 soaked dates

Method

Blend all the ingredients in a blender adding 1/2 a cup of milk first. Allow it to become a smooth puree. Once blended smooth, add in the remaining milk and serve immediately.  This is also a great smoothie for an after gym workout.
