Milk, is reduced to get a nice thick texture flavoured with aromatic rose, earthy cardamom and a hint of saffron, and the sweet boondi is then added to this delish kheer recipe, that you won't be able to resist. 

This boondi ki kheer can be served both hot or cold, totally the way you like it.

  • 1 liter Milk
  • 1 cup Sweet Boondi
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom Powder (Elaichi)
  • 1 teaspoon Rose water
  • Saffron strands , a few
  • 10 Whole Almonds (Badam) , blanched, cut into slivers

  1. To begin making the Boondi Ki Kheer Recipe, firstly blanch the almonds and cut them into slivers and keep them ready.

  4. Getting ahead with the Boondi Ki Kheer Recipe

  5. Add milk in a sauce pan on medium high flame and bring it to a brisk boil. 

  6. Once the milk has boiled, reduce the flame to medium- low, add in the saffron strands, and cardamom and let the milk reduce to half its volume. 

  7. We are looking for a creamy, thick kheer.  Once it reduces to half its quantity, turn off the flame. 

  8. At this stage add in the rose water, almond slivers and the sweet boondi. 

  9. Serve the the Boondi Ki Kheer hot or cold , according to your choice.
