Chilli Cheese Toast Recipe (Breakfast Bread Pizza)
The Chilli Cheese Toast Recipe is favorite among the chilly toast lovers. Slices of breads are grilled with diced tomatoes, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, green chillies and sharp cheddar cheese. The chilli toast recipe is very quick to make, with simple ingredients off your pantry that you can serve for either breakfast or as an appetiser for parties. The toppings can vary from sweet corn to mushrooms to just chillies and cheese. To present them, cut them to your desired shape.
- 5 slices of whole wheat bread, with edges sliced off (or a french loaf)
- butter softened, for toasting Ingredients for the topping
- 2 green chillies, finely chopped (or jalepenos)
- 1/2 green bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- a small bunch of chopped coriander leaves
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- grated sharp cheddar cheese
- salt and black pepper to taste

To begin making the Chilli Cheese Toast Recipe, preheat oven to 200 C
Butter all the bread slices and arrange them on a baking tray. If you are using a fresh loaf bread, then first slice them half lengthwise, then once again into desired sizes.
Combine all the toppings except the cheddar cheese. Check the salt and pepper levels, adjust to suit your taste and keep aside.
Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly on the buttered bread slices. Finally sprinkle the cheddar cheese and grill in the preheated oven until the cheese melts and you notice that the bread also is getting crusty from the sides.
Once baked, remove the Chilli Cheese Toast from the oven and cut into desired shapes and serve.
