Parsi Style Chaas Payelo Sakarkand Recipe
Parsi Style Chaas Payelo Sakarkand Recipe is sweet potatoes and this Parsi dish is a very simple caramelized sweet potatoes recipe. We use Indian sweet potatoes for this recipe. This recipe is very basic, cook sakarkand with salt, red chili powder and bit of roasted cumin powder until it gets caramelized and serve it as a salad or as side dish with rice and dal. The sweetness from the sweet potatoes with a blend of heat from the chili powder and the flavor of cumin powder makes it just perfect! - 2 Sweet potatoes
- Salt , to taste
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
- Coriander leaves (Dhania) , chopped, for garnish
Directions for Parsi Style Chaas Payelo Sakarkand Recipe
To prepare Parsi Style Chaas Payelo Sakarkand Recipe, wash sweet potatoes well. Scrub off any dirt on it’s skin. Chop them into small cubes. Keep the cut pieces submerged in water until use.
Heat oil in a pan. Add the sweet potato cubes and sauté for a minute. Add red chili powder, salt and roasted cumin seeds and sauté again.
Cook on low flame until the potatoes are cooked and starts to caramelize.
Once caramelized, switch off heat.
