To begin making the Mediterranean Tomato Basil Sandwich Recipe With Sweet Piquanté Pepper, get all the ingredients prepped for the sandwich. Chop all veggies and keep chilli, coriander pastes ready.
In a mixing bowl, mix green chilli paste and coriander paste with homemade hummus, and drizzle some lemon juice on it and combine well till the paste is even.
Spread this hummus mixture on one side of the bread slice.
Place the lettuce leaves on it.
Now place sliced onions (2-3 per slice of each veggie), cucumber, tomato slices, sweet piquant pepper slices and finally season with salt and pepper and dash of sumac (or alternatively lemon zest) on top.
