- 1 cup Gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
- 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- Salt , to taste
- Sugar , to taste
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Enos fruit salt
- 1 cup Water
- 3 tablespoon Green Chutney (Coriander & Mint)
- 3 tablespoon Sweet Chutney (Date & Tamarind) For Tempering
- 1 teaspoon Cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 5 Curry leaves
- 3 Green Chillies , sliced
How to make Instant Sandwich Khaman Dhokla Recipe
To begin making the Instant Sandwich Khaman Dhokla Recipe, firstly prepare all the ingredients.
In a bowl, add chickpeas flour, salt, sugar, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and add water and mix it well! The Khaman Dhokla batter should be of idli batter consistency.
Now grease a microwave safe bowl/bakeware with oil.
Now add fruit salt/Eno and 1 tablespoon water and mix well with the khaman dhokla batter.
To make sandwich Khaman Dhokla, pour the batter into the bowl and Microwave on medium high till done (mine took 3 minutes).
Now, once the khaman dhokla is cooled, loosen the sides and invert the bowl to unmould dhokla on a plate.
To make Instant Sandwich Khaman Dhokla, mark two spots vertically such that they can form 3 layers when cut along the mark.
Run a knife horizontally along the mark such that 3 layers of dhokla are cut for sandwich.
Arrange them such that the sandwich is assembled.
Now add oil in a Tadka pan, temper with mustard seeds.
Once they crackle, add curry leaves, green chillies, and water and spread this on dhokla.
