  • 1 cup Paneer (Homemade Cottage Cheese) , cut into fingers
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic , minced
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger , minced
  • 2 Green Chilli , slit
  • 1 Onion , cubed
  • 4 sprig Spring Onion (Bulb & Greens) , chopped
  • 1/4 cup Green Bell Pepper (Capsicum) , cubed
  • 1/2 cup Red Bell pepper (Capsicum) , slit lenghtwise
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon White vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • Salt , according to the taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Red Chilli sauce (Sichuan Sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon Corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • For marination
  • Salt , as per required
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli sauce (Sichuan Sauce)
  • 3 tablespoons All Purpose Flour (Maida)
  • 2 tablespoons Corn flour

How to make Crispy Paneer Schezwan Recipe

  1. To begin with Crispy Paneer Schezwan Recipe, firstly add maida, cornflour, salt, pepper powder, soy sauce and chilli sauce in a mixing bowl.

  2. Add very little water to make it a smooth batter. Make sure that the batter is neither too thick nor too watery.

  3. The next step is to coat all the paneer fingers in the batter. Once it is done, heat oil in a deep frying pan.

  4. When the oil is hot, deep fry the paneer fingers till it becomes crisp. Drain them on the tissue paper and keep them aside.

  5. After this, add oil in a wide skillet and add ginger, garlic and green chillies. Sauce it for about a minute.

  6. After a minute, add onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, spring onion whites and salt and toss them on high flame.

  7. Now bring the flame back to medium and add Soy sauce, chilli sauce, vinegar, salt, pepper powder, sugar and schezwan sauce. Again bring the flame to high heat and toss them properly.

  8. Get the flame to medium and let it cook for 2-3 minutes. After 2-3 minutes, mix cornflour with water and add it to the veggies. When its cooked, add the paneer fingers.

  9. Adjust the salt according to your taste and mix it properly on high flame. Transfer it to a serving plate and garnish it with spring onion greens.
