A Simple & High Protein Lunch - Palak Paratha, Tamatari Chole, Kala Chana Salad & Curd

Try this delicious meal of Palak Paratha, Tamatari Chole - a classic semi gravy dish made with Kabuli Chana, Kala Chana Salad and a bowl of curd. 

Kabuli Chana and Kala Chana are protein dense foods that has to be made an essential part of the diet in order to ensure that adequate amount of proteins are consumed by us. Our body's organs, tissues, muscles and hormones are all made of proteins. - everyday our body needs proteins to build and repair tissues. 

With a little bit of planning, this meal plate can be prepared in less than an hour. For the Tamatari Chole make sure to soak the white chickpeas in water overnight. Similarly for the Kala Chana salad, ensure to soak the desi chana in water at least for 5 hours if not overnight. The next morning ensure to discard the water in which it was soaked in, rinse the chickpeas and add fresh water for pressure cooker. 

You can prepare the puree for the Paratha earlier and stock it in the fridge - you can use it when you are kneading the dough. Always have curd made at home - the best probiotic that you could ever consume!
