How to make Caramel Sauce Recipe

  1. To begin making the Caramel Sauce recipe, take a heavy bottomed pan. Add water and sugar in the pan on medium heat.

  2. Do not touch this sugar water mixture at all.

  3. Continue to cook until sugar melt into a thick brown, amber coloured liquid but be careful not to burn it.

  4. Once we get the perfect colour, immediately add butter and keep stirring it for 2 to 3 minutes continuously.

  5. Now slowly add heavy cream but keep whisking side by side because the mixture will rapidly bubble or splutter as we'll add cream in it.

  6. Allow the mixture to boil one more minute, then add vanilla essence and salt to taste. Remove it from heat and allow it to cool down.

  7. Transfer it to a jar and keep it in fridge in airtight jar.

  8. Pour this delicious Caramel Sauce on Carrot And Orange Loaf Cake and serve along with your coffee during your tea time break.

  9. Or simply serve it over a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some chocolate chips.
