Healthy Whole Wheat Dates Cake
Whole Wheat Dates Cake is a tea time cake recipe made with whole wheat flour, dates and sugar. This cake makes a perfect accompaniment with evening’s tea like Masala chai or Qahwa. You could also serve it with coffee.

- 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour
- 15 Dates , pitted
- 4 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/4 cup Walnuts , optional
How to make Healthy Whole Wheat Dates Cake
To prepare Healthy Whole Wheat Dates Cake, grind the dates with a little milk in a Mixer grinder.
Once it is ground well, add oil, milk and sugar into a fine paste.
Transfer date mixture to a large mixing bowl.
In a mixing bowl, sieve in the flour and baking soda.
Add walnuts if using.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Meanwhile, grease the baking pan with butter and dust it with flour, tap off excess flour and set aside.
Sift in the mixed dry ingredients to the wet date mixture. Fold with a spatula till combined well and even.
Pour into the prepared baking pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes or till the skewer inserted in the middle of the loaf comes out clean.
Transfer on a wire rack and cool completely.
