Weekends are always special for all of us, as it is the time to spend with family and friends and enjoy some good food. Here we have made an interesting menu with Persian Style Chicken Stew, Herbed Brown Rice, Roasted Potato Salad & Marble Cake.

In this meal plate we have a simple Persian style chicken and kidney bean stew. The stew is flavoured with freshly chopped coriander leaves and parsley leaves which gives in the freshness and amazing flavour. Kidney beans is a great source of protein to be added for your everyday diet. When combined with chicken,this dish will give you a good amount of nutrition necessary for our everyday diet. 

We have then paired the stew with a simple herbed rice made using brown rice. It is a good tip to substitute your white rice with brown as it contains higher fiber content than white. It is also good for controlling your weight. Any food when eaten at right proportion is great. The herbed rice is flavoured with caramelised onions and some mixed herbs. 

By the side we have roasted potato salad which just takes 20 minutes to prepare. The roasted potato are seasoned with paprika, dried oregano and thyme. Finally tossed in with crumbled mozzarella cheese, crunchy onions and garlic. Making it a perfect salad to go along with stew and herbed rice. 

The meal will never end with a craving for dessert, so here we have paired a small slice of eggless marble cake. It is a great balance of chocolate and vanilla which is quite soft and moist. Try this meal plate for your weekend special.
