In today's meals we have added a Malaysian inspired dish which is the Chicken Rendang, the flavours are packed with spices like dry red chillies, cardamom, cloves, star anise, cinnamon stick and lemon grass. The gravy is quite thick and is thickened little by using coconut milk. A good serving of this chicken curry for your weekend meal will help you gain protein and carbs for your diet.
We have then paired it with some more protein rich fried egg, which is very simple to make and will add in an extra touch to your meal. You can even add boiled egg if you want and sprinkle it with some pepper powder, salt and oregano and serve also. Then as your accompaniments we have a simple pickled onions, cucumber and peanut salad. It is quick tossed salad and you can add other salad of your choice as well to make it more healthy and nutritious. Then a good portion of plain rice is served by the side.
