Dosa is a type of pancake from the Indian subcontinent, made from a fermented batter made from rice and dal. Traditionally, Dosa is served hot along with sambar, a stuffing of potatoes known as Masala Dosa and served along with coconut chutney, tomato onion chutney or even green mint chutney with coconut. Dosa is also had along with idli podi as well. 

Masala dosa is a form of stuffed dosa, which is made with crisp dosa, optionally smeared with ghee and stuffed with a delicious Potato Masala. The other popular variations for the stuffing are Paneer, Chinese, Mixed Vegetables, Chutney etc. The dosa is made in the usual way by soaking rice and lentils overnight in water and then grinding it to a batter.  Mysore masala dosa has a red chutney made from red chillies, onion, and garlic applied to the inside of the dosa before placing the potato stuffing on top of it.
