Thenkuzhal Murukku is a deep fried South Indian snack made using Rice flour and Urad Dal flour. It is usually made during Diwali or Gokul Ashtami. The process is fairly simple but making a large batch of Thenkuzhal is quite laborious and requires patience.

You also need a special Thenkuzhal press to make this addictive snack. You can directly make and drop Thenkuzhal in the hot oil or you can make them on a plastic sheet/banana leaf and then gently slide them in the oil for frying.

Serve Thenkuzhal Murukku as a tea time snack with with Masala Chai or South Indian Filter Coffee Recipe With Filter Coffee Powder.
