Vidya Narayan

I am Vidya Narayan. Born & brought up in Mumbai, I hail from a Palakkad Iyer family. A Commerce Graduate & an MBA in HR, having worked for 10 odd years, I gave up my professional career to be a full time homemaker post marriage, a decision I am completely proud of. I always wanted to follow my heart & do something that stress free & helps add value to life (self & others). A complete foodie we at home relish the most simple & humble comfort food Dal rice or Rasam Rice down south as much as we indulge in other cuisines be it Italian, Mexican etc. The only thing that matters is the food should be tasty, ingredients should be fresh & of course something different to experience. My cooking is inspired from my mother. I can proudly say that I have had the privilege of eating the best meals at home, cooked by Ma with so much love. A homemaker, teacher & now a Food & Travel Blogger at Masala Chilli, I enjoy multitasking & always look forward to anything challenging. My blog has a good mix of vegetarian recipes that can be made with the most basic ingredients in your pantry. Cooking is a part of me, my way of expressing love to family & friends. Cheers !!
