To begin making Bardoli Ki Khichdi Recipe, wash and soak the rice and dal separately for 30 minutes.
In a pressure cooker pan, heat a tablespoon of ghee, add in the cumin seeds and let it sizzle.
Add the asafoetida, onion and saute until it turns translucent. Add the ginger, green chilies and saute for a minute. Add the grated raw mango and mix well.
Now to the pressure cooker add in the cubed potatoes, green peas, turmeric, red chilli powder, mix well and let it cook for 2 minutes.
Drain the water from the soaked rice, tur dal and add it to the pressure cooker.
Add 4 cups of water, season with salt, close it with a lid and cook the khichdi for 4 whistles.
Once the pressure has released naturally, open the pressure cooker lid, mix the khichdi well, add in the remaining 1/2 tablespoon ghee, garnish with coriander leaves.
