Chicken Seekh Kebab Recipe is a flavorful starter made with minced chicken and is mixed along with fresh herbs like mint, coriander and dill leaves of your choice and then spiced up with flavorful spice powders.

The mixed chicken is then molded onto a long steel skewers and placed in tandoor. The chicken is cooked in the harsh heat inside tandoor which will create a charred flavor. The seekh kebab can also be cooked over a flat tawa and roasted until it is golden brown. 

Serve the Seekh Kebabs along with Pita Breads or rotis with a combination of Mint Chutney, Yogurt Dip, Pickled Onions to make it more exciting.

Ingredients

  • 300 grams Chicken breasts , minced
  • 1 Potato (Aloo) , boiled and mashed
  • 2 teaspoon Roasted Gram Flour (sattu)
  • 1 Onion , chopped
  • 1/2 cup Mint Leaves (Pudina)
  • 1/2 cup Coriander (Dhania) Leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Fennel seeds (Saunf)
  • 2 Green Chillies , chopped
  • 1 inch Cinnamon Stick (Dalchini)
  • Salt , to taste 

How to make Chicken Seekh Kebab Recipe

  1. To begin making the Chicken Seekh Kebab Recipe, firstly ground the onions, coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chillies, fennel seeds, cinnamon stick to a ground paste.

  2. Add the ground paste along with minced chicken and mix well. Add the gram flour, boiled and mashed potato and mix till it is firm.

  3. Take skewers, take some amount of the seekh mixture and press it tightly around the skewers.

  4. Similarly, prepare the rest of the seekhs too.

  5. Heat a nonstick broad base pan. Place the seekhs on the pan and brush oil on top and sides of the seeks.

  6. Keep turning the skewers so that the Green Peas Seekh Kebab get fried from all sides. Shallow fry till golden.

  7. Transfer the kebabs into kitchen towel or tissue paper so that the excess oil gets absorbed.

  8. Arrange them on a serving platter and serve with a spicy minty dip, lemon wedges and onions.

  9. Serve the Seekh Kebabs along with Pita Breads or rotis with a combination of Mint Chutney, Yogurt DipPickled Onions to make it more exciting.
