Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black Eyed Beans (Lobia) , soaked in water overnight
  • 2 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 Lemon juice
  • Salt , to taste
  • Cooking oil

Directions for Chilli Roasted Black Eyed Peas Recipe

  1. To begin making the Chilli Roasted Black Eyed Peas Recipe, we will cook the soaked black eyed peas in pressure cooker with water for about 2 whistle.

  2. Once the black eyed peas are just cooked, allow the pressure to release naturally and drain all the water.

  3. Heat a flat skillet with oil, add cooked black eyed peas and fry till they crisp up.

  4. Add all the seasonings along with tobacco sauce and salt and coat the peas well.

  5. Saute for 5 more minutes switch off the heat and drizzle lemon juice and serve hot.
