The Instant Ragi Rava Dhokla Recipe is a healthy preparation of the traditional sooji dhokla that is made with just semolina. In this Ragi Dhokla recipe I have combined the ragi flour, also known as the finger millet flour along with semolina (rava). Dhokla get its flavors and delicious textures from the sesame and mustard seasoning and this recipe does just that.

Note: You can also use any other millet flour like the pearl millet flour (bajra), jowar, finger millet flour to this recipe to make it nutritious.
- 1 cup Ragi Flour (Finger Millet/ Nagli)
- 1 cup Sooji (Semolina/ Rava) , fine semolina
- 1 cup Curd (Dahi / Yogurt)
- 1 teaspoon Enos fruit salt , or 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon Sunflower Oil
- 1 teaspoon Sunflower Oil , for seasoning
- 1 sprig Curry leaves , finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds (Til seeds)
- 2 sprig Coriander (Dhania) Leaves , finely chopped
- Salt , to taste
How to make Instant Ragi Rava Dhokla - Wholesome & Delicious Ragi Recipe
To begin making the Instant Ragi Rava Dhokla Recipe, prepare a steamer filled with water and grease the dhokla plates. Keep aside.
Combine the ragi flour, rava, yogurt and a little salt in a large mixing bowl. Add a little water at a time to make a thick instant dhokla batter (approximately 1- 1/2 cups).
Allow the Instant Ragi Rava Dhokla batter to rest for 5 minutes.
Stir in the eno's fruit salt and pour the ragi dhokla batter into the greased dhokla plates.
Preheat a steamer with water and place the Instant Ragi Rava Dhokla for steaming. Steam on high heat for about 10 minutes until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once steamed, remove the Instant Ragi Rava Dhokla from the steamer and keep aside for 5 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan; add in the mustard seeds, sesame seeds and curry leaves and allow it to crackle.
Turn off heat and pour the seasoning over the Instant Ragi Rava Dhokla Recipe and cut them into squares or diamonds.
