To begin making the Javarichya Lahyancha Chivda, first, heat oil in a heavy bottom Wok/Kadai.
Add the mustard seeds, curry leaves and once they crackle add the cumin seeds, once the cumin seeds sizzle, add the asafoetida, and groundnuts. Cook for a few minutes till the groundnuts are fried well.
Turn off the flame and add the red chilli powder, turmeric powder, Maharashtrian goda masala, sugar, and salt.
Mix and add the popped jowar, until grains are well coated.
Cool and store in an airtight container.
