To begin making the Karwar Style Varan Kadhi Recipe by cooking the dal in a pressure cooker with 2 cups water, salt and teaspoon of turmeric powder.
Pressure cook it for 4 whistles, turn off the flame and allow the pressure to release naturally.
Meanwhile, grind the coconut and green chilies in a grinder to a smooth paste. Keep it aside.
