Pisarna Manga Recipe is an instant raw mango pickle that is easy to make using very few ingredients. It is a must try recipe when mangoes are in season. You can make this Instant pickle with any kind of raw mango.

In India every state has their own version of mango pickle. Few tips to keep in mind when making  mango pickle is that use a firm raw mango when making the pickle. Wash the mango nicely and dry it well before making the pickle. Also when handling pickles make sure you always use a dry and clean spoon. This ensures that your Mango pickle stays fresh for longer. 

In this recipe of instant mango pickle everyday spices like red chilli powder and turmeric powder is used along with Methi and Hing which give a delectable flavour to this mango pickle. 

Serve Pisarna Manga Recipe - Instant Raw Mango Pickle with dals, parathas, rice and just about anything that needs an accompaniment.

Ingredients

    1 Mango (Raw), chopped optionally peeled
    1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
    1/4 teaspoon Methi Seeds (Fenugreek Seeds), halved (kuria)
    1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu), halved (rai kuria)
    1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)
    1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)
    1 tablespoon Sesame (Gingelly) Oil
    Salt, to taste

Instructions for Pisarna Manga Recipe -Instant Raw Mango Pickle

    To begin making the Pisarna Manga Recipe, cut the mango into small pieces along with the skin.

    Combine all the ingredients like the red chilli powder, methi seeds, mustard seeds, turmeric powder, asafoetida, sesame oil, raw mango pieces and salt in a bowl. Stir well until all the ingredients are well combined.

    Store the Pisarna Manga Pickle - Instant Raw Mango Pickle in the refrigerator and use as and when required.

    You can also use whole mustard seeds, crackle them in oil and add it to the pickle mixture. This is the way traditional south indians make the pickle and called it Pisarna Manga.
