  • 350 grams Spaghetti Pasta
  • 4 cloves Garlic , finely chopped
  • 1 Onion , thinly sliced
  • 8 Tomatoes , Big ones, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Black olives , sliced
  • 200 ml Fresh cream
  • 1 teaspoons Whole Black Peppercorns , coarsely pounded
  • 2 teaspoons Red Chilli flakes
  • 4 sprig Basil leaves , roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup Cheddar cheese , grated
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese , grated
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • Olive Oil , for cooking
  • Salt , to taste

How to make Cheesy Baked Spaghetti Pasta Recipe In Tomato Basil Sauce

  1. To begin making the Cheesy Baked Spaghetti Pasta Recipe, preheat oven to 200 C. 

  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add salt to fasten the boiling process and add the spaghetti and cook the pasta until soft. This will take about 10 - 15 minutes. 

  3. Once it is cooked and the pasta is reached al dente stage (which is just cooked), rinse the pasta under cold water. 

  4. Drizzle some olive oil over the pasta and toss the pasta well with the olive oil, Keep aside. 

  5. Heat 2 tablespoons of the olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat for 1 minute. Add the garlic and onion saute until tender and golden. Add the tomatoes, olives, salt and saute for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes become tender and not completely soft. Remove the mixture from the heat and allow it to cool.

  6. Once the tomato has cooled, puree the tomatoes in a blender, to make a smooth pasta sauce.

  7. Into a saucepan, Pour in the blended tomato mixture and allow it to boil for few seconds. Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat and add fresh cream and add some freshly ground pepper, red pepper flakes, basil to the tomato sauce. Mix in the cooked spaghetti pasta and saute for a few minutes.

  8. Transfer the spaghetti pasta to a baking dish greased with olive oil. Layer it with the three types of cheeses between each pasta layer. Top it with mozzarella cheese on the top, so it melts and gives a good cheesy texture.

  9. Cover the spaghetti pasta with aluminum foil and place in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the center of the pie is set and the top is golden.

  10. Remove from the oven and let the Cheesy Baked Spaghetti Pasta dish stand for 10 minutes. Run a spatula around the edges and underneath the baked pasta to loosen.

  11. Slice the Cheesy Baked Spaghetti Pasta Recipe and garnish with the remaining Parmesan before serving. Serve the pasta hot along with Garlic Bread With Herb Butter and Red Wine Sangria for your special evening.
