To begin making the Malai Chickpea Kebab Recipe first boil the chickpeas, in a pressure cook for 4 whistles.
Let the pressure release naturally and then strain the water from the chickpeas.
Add the cooked chickpeas to a blender with the onions, green chilli, garlic, coriander leaves, salt and lemon juice. Blend everything to a smooth paste.
Remove the blended mixture into a big bowl and check for seasoning if required. Then add the oats to the bowl and bind the mixture together.
Heat a paniyaram pan, add oil and then scoop a tablespoon of the chickpea and oats mixture into each cavity and shallow fry till it is brown on either side. Keep flipping the koftas so that it does not get burnt.
